Well I'm wondering if anyone has confirmed whether or not the LB7 fuel filter will fit on the LLY?
While investigating the Racor pre OEM filter kit, I talked to a Racor engineer who said it was the same filter, just a little longer. Previous disussions here seem to verify that the filter is indeed about 3/4 inch longer.
Reason for the question is that while I've got the Racor kit from Oregon Fuel Injection, I hadn't installed it yet because the guards were backordered. OFI called today and the guard is now in stock and they wanted to make sure I still wanted one. I also asked about the LLY OEM filter. They don't have any or a part number for it, nor do they know if the LB7 filter will fit. I asked if they would contact Racor and determine availability of the LLY filter, and whether or not the LB7 will fit.
I'll post what ever information I get back, but I'm wondering if anyone's already got a definitive answer?
