HI HOWARD: EMAILED YOU COUPLE WEEKS AGO. TPW 12/3 ORDER GTPJO7, ANYTHING YOU CAN TELL ME WOULD HELP. I AM DRIVING MY DEALER CRAZY BUT I DONT CARE. I WANT MY TRUCK!!

Howard I called GMC a couple of weeks ago and still didn't have a TPW but dealer called last nite and said delivery this week or next.


I just talked to the dealer and the Chevy he ordered is in (GSHTV0), TPW was last week or this week but the vin # show an LB7.


I checked w/ Chevy and it was built on 12-11-03 and HAS the LB7 motor, so much for 12-8 the start of LLY.

Hi everybody, new member here, ordered 2500HD D/A on 1/9/04. I am anxious too. I originally had my dealer locate a truck, just before the end of the year. He found one and sent up a driver to pick it up a couple hours away, when the driver got there the dealership said the truck was sold. So I ordered one(now I get a new motor), but the dealer said there was no numbers for me to confirm the order. I thought this was odd, I am sure glad I found this site. I really don't trust salemen much ( bad expereince once). Can anyone give me there experience with the order process. How soon after you gave your deposit did you get the SON and TPW? Did you get any paperwork confirming the options ordered(other than hand written sheet)? Plan on spending plenty of time here, great info!

The line was closed for MLK. Mine is for the 19th also.

Howard called on the 19th to mention my truck was out waiting for transport. He thought maybe they were ahead or possibly worked OT on Saturday. Guess that's why they call it targeted.


Anyway, the real wait now begins. Guess I better drop the asking price on my old '03 D/A baby before the new '04 D/A dually baby arrives. They both won't fit in the same crib nor my budget.

I would still get Howard to check on it...The dealer told me that mine had been shipped but it really wasnt, Howard was able to tell me what was really going on.

Talked to Howard on the phone 8/23/04 PM. He's giving it a shot at helping me get my truck built a little sooner. He's suppose to give me a call this PM with an update. It's been a long 8 weeks since the order and still little movement. I can't wait any longer!!!

Got a call from Howard this PM. To make a long story short......GM was dragging there feet on my '05 order placed 6-28-04 (yes, that's June). Didn't get "accepted" until 3 days ago but no TPW (yes, that's 7 weeks to the acceptance stage). Howard got involved and now have a pretty speedy TPW of 9/13!!

For all of you that are new to this (and those that have been around for awhile) Howard is more than willing to help you out tracking your order and to give things a little shove once in awhile if possible!

Mine was ordered on 9/7 in Prescott, AZ. It will be here by the end of next week. That's just over 7 weeks. If you're back East, then 6-7 weeks is probably about right. :)
