thank you sir for your help, those were the ones i was thinking about myself
I had the CIPA replacements on my 02 2500HD and loved them. They are available electric control (manual in/out extend) and heated for about $350. Well worth it. Otherwise the new GM units that I have on my 04 are good but not tall enough. There is also one brand (German) that I forgot the name but they are reputed to be the best after-market.

Your probably thinking of schefenacker. If so, they are the manufacturers of the TTT mirrors talked about above.

try these links below for more help on mirrors. Remember you don't just need them wide, it helps if they are larger also. Look at the bigger trucks. mirrors are taller than they are wide. I got the Lucerix/CIPA mirrors from "stylinconcepts". i am happy with them. the passenger side should extend about an inch more, but they work well for pulling a 8' wide 5th wheel. They come with stick on convex (spot) mirrors.

I have a set of McKesh mirrors that I no longer need. They are very stable, easy to install and only take seconds to put on and take off after being adjusted to fit your truck ( or car). For a look at them go to http://www.nosway.com/ and on the right is a link for mirrors. Glad to work something out if you think you can use them.
