Instead of making a mount for my Laptop in the truck, could data monitoring/logging be done with a Pocket PC?

Think Banks PowerPDA here...

THAT, would be cool!

Giddy up!!! It would be even cooler if you could create tunes on your laptop / desktop, and then load them to the PPC, and reflash the ECM at will, with any of the tunes loaded on the PPC. It'd almost be like a mini Diablosport (with several tunes available to flash at any given time). :cool2:

That would be cool, I love everything about this except for the fact that there many times when I would need to go back to stock or atleast a lower tow tune and would not have acess to a computer, on the fly is what i really need but I could live with that.

What about installing tunes though, can you only store one tune on the box at a time?

You need a computer to load tunes.

Once you start programming your own tunes you will see that you can make a nice all around tune that will run low egt's for pulling and still have balls to the wall performance.

You guys are in for a treat :D

You could put an old compter in your garage on a table beside the truck.

In one of my bays in my shop I have a computer on a table. I have been using it. I do have a laptop but I find this easier in a lot of ways.

That sounds like a plan, I think I know where I might pick one up at pretty cheap too. The only problem I see now is I am sometimes 20 miles from home and outta the blue I might have to pull something, so I dunno if it would ever work. When I had the superchips I pulled some hay on level 3 and had to pull the clutch pedal off the floor, and that was only 95hp.

Just put a good clutch/SMF in it.
