I found a clutch and now i have to buy the other parts. I think i need the upgraded flywheel from gm ang the throw out bearing. But i was wondr if it was worth replacing the slave cylinder while i had it all apart. So if any one knows exacly what i need to replace please let me know.

The throw out bearing and slave cylinder are all on piece. If you change one, you change them both. Read my sig. i would personally recommend you get ahold of Evan@crankitupdiesel.com That is who done mine. You would be very happy with the end result.(But that is just me talking)
Good Luck:ro) :grd:

Agreed DmaxalliTech...the SBC kit is the way to go! In my experience it is not worth putting a good aftermarket clutch with the GM PP and Flywheel!! The net result is the same you get with the GM clutch. The PP does not create enough clamping power and the flywheel is a BIG P.O.S!! The failure point is not the clutch but rather the DMF! The updated version is no better than the original. I have gone through 3 GM DMF's and currently on #4...2 old versions and 1 new versions and I only have 66k on my truck. The solution a SMF from either Mac's or the SBC kit which should be done very soon! Hopefully we are on the last revisions/changes to the beta flywheel and they will be available to the public very soon! We will not turn this out to the public until it is 100% tested and reliable! If your need is immediate contact Evan as the Mac's kit is quite good as well.

Your biggest problem is not the clutch. It is the flywheel. The GM replacements just don't last. I just pulled off one that was installed last ~May (duramaxedout's) and it was trashed.

If you can wait until we get testing done on the SBC kits I would recommend doing so. They have been around a long time and their kits can be rebuilt if needed.

If everything goes right this go round then I'm hoping that they will be ready for production within the next week or so. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one, we've ran into some problems along the way but hopefully they have all been corrected and everything is going to go smooth this time around.

Cheers,
Wade

The next test will be tomorrow. If it passes and I have a high confidence that it will, production will begin Monday, Dec 19th. The machine shop expects to be able to do 3- 4 flywheels a day. The remaining assembly tasks are very quick and first shipping will likely be on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

The gear ring problem has been solved and SBC has enough so they do not need to acquire used DMF and/or gear rings from customers. I expect that once the production begins there will be no aviailability issues.

Go look at my website: www.dynadroitclutches.com it has prices shipping and type of clutch plates you can choose.

Production is starting today so they will be available 3 days after payment is received (unless you want to pay for faster shipping).
