upset that i didnt do this sooner. came home from dealer 1200 miles last night and today and cannot say enough good about this truck so far. mileage was better than expected. shifting is firm but smooth and got better over the trip. trans temp didnt come off the 100 until the outside temp got above 45 the engine temp ran around 180 until las vegas then got up to about 200 but never higher and, while not the best looking mirrors, the camper mirrors are really nice. cannot wait to put the 5th wheel behind it.

Congratulations and welcome to the club. I hope you continue to have good luck with it. It will pull those long desert inclines with ease. I love mine. It's my baby and I wish I could just drive it around for a living.

Enjoy:ro)

Congrats! Really loving ours also.

What 5'er you gonna pull with it? We're pulling a Pilgrim 276 bunkhouse. Dry weight of about 7,900 and GVWR 10,500. Pulls and handles it with ease!

I thought this was going to be another "didn't meet my expectations" bash thread. Thank goodness it's not.

Congrats on your new truck!

i honestly dont know how i could gripe when the third tank of diesel (partial cause i filled up when i got home) was exactly 12 gallons for 247 miles and it was from st. george utah to kingman az. just finished putting on that role on bedliner stuff on my tool box to match the coated bed. hoping to run thu the stock tires fairly quick to go a little bigger. and am looking for a bed cover for those trips without the 5er. so far (only 1300 miles) its the best truck ive owned. thanks for all the congrats

Congrats on your new truck.....Just turned 27K on mine today and still love it.

I have a Pace Edwars Jack Rabbit sliding bed cover. Great for use with a 5ver.

Congratulations and welcome to the Diesel Forum. If you learn 1/2 as much as I have you're really going to appreciate it. It's nice to hear about someone happy once in a while, although I know that +90% feel the same as you. I absolutely love towing my Fiver behind mine.

I really liked "It's my baby and I wish I could just drive it around for a living." I feel the same way. ):h
