I plugged in the new 180Hp VA I recieved today from Dominator Performance Diesel. I had the PPE Hot already loaded on max(always is). So this review about the PPE Hot/VA Hot stack.

Regular driving: can't tell the difference between the 130hp and the 180hp. Same engine sounds and tranny shifts the same.

W.O.T:  WOW there is more power!!! Feels like alot more than the 50hp that the numbers state, I'd say closer to 100hp(a guess though), at least on my truck. My boost also went up. With the carter pump running I had no bursting or shifting problems. Feels just like the 130hp program but with more power.

For you guys stacking and have a tranny upgrade, I think this is a great step forward for the LLY. Might be a good N2O/aftermarket turbo tune, sure runs great on my truck.

I'll try it alone in the next couple of days, might be hard for me to reduce the stack though

AWESOME!!! More power for the LLY...it just makes the Tim Allen in me want to grunt. No bursting or 1093 issues I assume? Rob is your releif valve shimmed? Once I build my tranny id be curious to see how it acts with a stock releif valve. Im really anxious to see how the PPE HOT/VA180 stack works on trucks with......less insane turbo setups. :)

EDIT: nvmind I didnt see where you said "no bursting issues"

Ben, my PRV is shimmed. I truely feel that for the LLY to run well the valve needs to be shimmed. Lift pumps may help for the one kind of 1093, but once the valve starts opening, lift pumps are no help. Remember the PRV valve is after the CP3.

Get that tranny installed, I'll lend you my tunes to try.

Who did you buy the 180 through? Will they upgrade current units?

I want to upgrade mine too. I thought I heard about at 220 LLY tune from VanAaken. If that's gonna be available I may wait.

See first post for info on supplier, they are now the USA VanAaken reps.

They are working on a 220hp verison, and I'll be testing that when it's available.

They can upgrade your existing box, and the price is right. Give them a call.
