Okay guys........I have an '02 GMC D-max that I have put almost 115,000 miles on since purchasing it new. I have maintained the truck very well over it's life time and I have had ZERO problems out of it (I know.....I just jinxed myself!). This is the first diesel that I have owned and I love it. On all of my gassers I would get leary of them at around 100,000 miles and trade them in before I started having more problems. Well, I have finally gotten this truck off of the road, and I want to make sure that I address everything that I need to so that it gives me another 115,000 trouble free miles. My question is about the cooling system. I am not having any problems out of it, but I feel with that many miles, it may be time to change the coolant and the hoses to help prevent any problems from creeping up. Am I right in thinking this way, or should I wait for signs of problems before messing with it?

I would get some distilled water and do a coolant flush on it. Check for obvious weather-cracking on the hoses. (When you find out how expensive the hoses are to replace, I think you'll decide to run them until you have trouble ;) )

Thanks.

I just found some info in the 'Maintenance' section that helped out. Didn't realize that section was actually there! LOL!
