Magnaflow makes a nice dual set. Straight through muffler splits into two 4" pipes going out each side. 5" chrome tips. Sounds good without being too loud. Only issue I've found was that if I turn my G/N ball over in the bed, it hits on the drivers side pipe where it goes over the axle. Considering that I hardly turn my ball over it hasn't been an issue. Of course, I got mine installed for free because I registered to let them use my truck to test fit the system but I am glad that I did it.

I put the MBRP dual 4" system on my brothers' '05 about a month ago. It went together very well, fit nice, had all the parts and sounds really good. Almost too loud for me though. Look at all of them though and see what other responses you get. I have Magnaflow 4" stainless on mine, single exhaust though, and I like how deep it sounds.

well, you helped my line the tips. LOL. anyways, i put the MBRP Duals on my 05. removed the cat as well. it is load down the road. idle its not load at all and cruising is about the same. it does sound like a big diesel under acceleration. specially around 2K. i am very impressed with it as of now. the kit was very easy to install. everything fit perfectly. no cutting of the pipes. just factory. didnt notice any milage gain out of it. lot better response and spool time. only thing i had to do was tie up my brake line on the left side. with the way the pipe runs, it lays right on the brake line. easy fix however. just zip tie it out of the way. i have a different muffler that i am going to try. AeroTurbine. has a neat new technology. figure i can give it a shot. MagnaFlow now has a dual 5" kit for the 600 Cummins. im not sure if they still even make the dual 4". might though

My truck has the Magnaflow 5" single exhaust without the cat. Idle and normal overdrive cruising is about normal. Under load it is loud and deep toned. It's loud enough I might put some sound insulation under the cab.

At the risk of sounding stupid, what is the CAT? Is it the resinator? muffler?

It's the catalytic perverter.

make sure whatever you put to rip the cat off. im workin on my bro, cummins600, to take it off his magnaflow setup. sounds much better without it.

The only thing wrong with the MBRP duals in my opinion, is the angle of the tips coming out the back, they don't go horizontal enough for me. They point down a little too much. JMO I've got the Gibson duals going on my truck this week (hopefully), but they are dual 3" pipes out of the 4" main pipe. The MBRP is 4" all the way.

all you need to know about a cat is that it is restrictive. so take it off

Anyone used the 5" turbo back from rolling big power?
