I just bought a 'turbo back' exhaust system from Pinnacle Power Exhaust in WY. It was advertised on ebay and it came within a week or so.

After opening the box and sorting out the parts, it looks like thier 'turbo back' kit actually goes from the end of the turbo down tube (the most restrictive part of the exhaust).

I emailed them about it and they said it was only from the turbo downtube, although all advertising clearly says 'turbo back'

Has anyone else run into this problem with Jardin or other exhaust manufacturers?

BTW, the rest of the kit looks great!

I'm virtually certain that ALL exhaust kits are from the restrictive downpipe back. It is only recently that the aftermarket has begun producing and selling the actual downpipe.

Sorry, that is just the way it is for now.... Yes, the companies advertise "turbo-back" but NONE (until just recently - and those won't be for sale on ebay yet I don't think) of them truly are.

On a side note, I have seen that system you are describing on ebay myself and am wondering what you think of it besides this detail?

It looks great sitting in the box. That's as far as i got.

I don't want to install it until I get an aftermarket down tube.

It sucks that these kits are advertised as 'turbo back' when they are not.

Does anyone have a preferred manufacturer for the downtube?

I purchased and installed this kit on my LLY about a month ago. The install was pretty easy-took about an hour. The turbo is now noticeabley louder and fuel mileage picked up about 2mpg. The kit deleted my cat but for some reason came with a muffler even though I ordered the straight pipe kit.

I ordered the kit and had the same problem. However it the true turbo pipe is very expensive. I think it is a good kit for the money though.

123DECALS, did you install the exhaust yet ? if so how do you like it ? AZANDY. did you notice a DRONE sound at cruise speed ? & most of all is everyone happy with the PINNACLE SYSTEM ?? any other users ? i'm ready to order a system & just would like to be sure i will be satisfied with the PINNACLE thanks ......... roger

I have mine installed. Very happy with it for the price.

mbrp makes an actual down pipe its 100.00 and I just helped my buddy do the whole exhaust. including taking off the stock exhaust it took less then 2 hours.

Not to sound dumb (although I feel as if I may) but by that comment, I'm assuming MBRP does not make an "actual" downpipe, that correct??

Who all does though??? I'm pretty sure I seen recently that someone has come out with one, just can't remember who it is??
