The starter went out on my 82 6.2 n/a so I bought a new one got it installed and hooked up all the wires but now there is no power to anything no lights it wont turn over nothing at all! I then pulled both batteries and tested them both good, charged them and reinstalled them. Still nothing. Rechecked all the wires and all seem to be hooked up properly. Whats wrong? I thought maybe I got the wires on the solenoid backwards would that cause this malady? I know the wire from the batterey is on the right terminal on the starter but there are two other terminals with smaller guage wires. one is a single wire and I have that on the terminal that is closest to the block. The other is two wires that are crimped together with the eylet and I have those on the terminal closest to the passenger side framerail. I thought also there might have been a jumper connecting the batterey wire to one of these smaller wires on the original starter?

Thanks in advance

On the same stud as the battery cable there should be 2 or three other wires. They run up the back of the block, they run the lights, and send poser to the ignition switch, It sounds like they got left off.

YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE ONE WIRE TO THE S TERMINAL THE REST OF THEM GO ON THE BAT TERMINAL.
