Howdy,

Anyone have a source for the GM interior plastic paint? Planning to install an "A" pillar gauge pod and want to paint it to match the rest of the interior.

I think it is called "dark Charcoal"

Thanx

Hey Elvis, I just went to my local Dupont Automotive paint dist., and they have an interior spray which they can match up for you. Take the A-pillar in with you. You will need a plastic prep to help the paint stick. I just used a couple dollar disposable aerosol sprayer, which works fine for t his application. Good luck.

Find an auto parts store that can custom mix paint and put it in a spray can for you. Take in your ashtray and have them scan it for color and mix you up some paint. I did not prep the pillar and the paint is working fine with no adhesion problems. They will probably charge you 10 to 20 bucks for the paint.

As others have said, Dupont can be matched VERY close
to the stock color. As to what the "color" is?
On the passengers side of the dash is a removeable
pannel in the same spot the fuse pannel access is
located on the drivers side. The passengers side
pannel has the interior paint codes on it. We used
those to match my '04 "tan" interior with Dupont
Vinyl Color. The color code that matched closest
was 195A for year 1995, Medium Neutral II,
C9501J Dupont Vinyl
