My neighbor is a fairly big collector / expert of Allis Chalmers tractors. I help him pretty regularly. He and another neighbor host an all Allis show each summer on a local farm. We run a thresher with a gas tractor (Altman Taylor tractor and thresher - bought out by Allis). There is wheat or oats that are combined, then we plow, disk and seed. Gives people a chance to see the equipment in action.
I also attended a National Allis Chalmers show in Ilderton, ON a few years back.

The 190 is a good machine, we used to run 3 of them on our haying operation, now we run JD 4240's, its a hell of a difference, nevertheless they are still good machines. The only thing I really hate about them is the lack of live hydraulics, besides that they are very strong runners.

I have an Alis Chalmers 5045 which was made by the Italians, it has a Fiat 45hp Diesel. The only problem I have had in the 5 years I have had it is the generator crapped out. Oh yeah and a weed stem that was in the fuel tank plugged the fuel line going to the filter. Not the tractors fault. The little Fiat engine doesn't burn much fuel I plowed snow with it for over 3 hours and used 4 gallons of #2.:cool2:

Got a C, CA, and two WC's. Quite a few of the 180, 185, and 190 tractors are pulling tractors around here.

My brother has a 190 Xt that is in the process of being rebuilt. It had a cracked block as well as other numerous problems. But the mechanic new of another 190 with a bad rearend for parts. I don't know much about the AC's but I have been using a small (about 45hp) recently that has a FIAT diesel in it . Although rough on the exterior, the engine always cranks right up.
