Does anyone have this option on their extended cab? Is is of quality construction? Good locking mechansim? Large enough inside to lay a 15" laptop computer flat? Thanks.

You may want to do a search on thedieselpage. There was a rush of traffic when it first became known. I purchased one ~ $58 second day express and me be happy ~ very happy indeed. Comes w/one key ~ I never lock it ~ left the key taped to the lock. Has compartment dividers and net pockets on the inside of the lid. There is a lil tackle box that comes w/it also.


As I recall at the time everyone that were lucky to get one was happy. It then escallated to 518, then to 950 (?) anyway, me thinks its good quality but then again, I could be bias by my buyin price. I know I wouldn't spend 500 on it. Could be that it/vendor has changed since I purchased mine. It does restrict access to the jack but doable still.

My 2004 2400 HD came with one installed - works great. Lap top will fit. Mine came with only one key too.

I bought the dealer accessory storage box, made of heavy formed plastic. VERY HAPPY, PERFECT FIT, Lockable with 2 keys, got it at a reduced cost through a good friend's body shop, about $265. I can put 2 to 3 long guns in there, and never worry, if I'm hunting etc. Mostly it carries road flares, etc.
