well i got my dream truck on monday at the ripe age of 20 and i managed to accumulate 317 miles, traveling back from a dealership near the house a guy in a van made a left in front of me and needless to say the bastard wasnt as invincible as he thought..... the truck is probably totaled and the guys van was bad, i was goin about 35 at the time

its a good thing because it was developing a squeek in the cab and i wouldnt have been able to stand it for long

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, are you okay? Physically I mean?

Bummer deal on the whole. Hope you don't have too many problems with the insurance companies. Let us know how things go.

OUCH, http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif That would hurt no matter when, but at 317 miles, that's gonna leave a mark . . . .

Good luck with the insurance part and all

Hope you are OK and hope insurance treats you right. Best if it is totalled, who wants a patched truck while paying "new" payments? Good Luck. SPICER

Totaled going just 35, Was that van carrying a brick wall? Glad to hear you are ok, I hit a guy in my truck with the plow on going 35, Guess the plow helps out ALOT.

If I got into an accident when I was 20...you bet your arse it was my fault. I was a bit wild back then

Do us a favor though. If your truck is totaled, Ask your insurance company how much it would be to buy it "back". You could sell that LLY for a pretty good penny...the Ally too.

With only 317 miles the insurance co should give you ALL your money back minus the deductable if it's totaled.Don't let them give you any BS if they try to haggle about price.

ouch indeed http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif couple of years back one of our sons totaled my wife's car the day she made the first payment ... from that experience, I strongly recommend you stick to your guns when it comes to a settlement, the insurance rep. is there to save his company as much money as possible, not to help you in any way

That is far from a total.

remember that it is general motors property and it is going to cost them money to put a brand new wrecked truck back on the road, ill let you know what ends up happening with it

I'd have to agree with Dieselfumes. That's not a totaled vehicle, especially considering the age and mileage on it.

Very, very Far from a total loss. Notice that the cab body is still pretty straight, doors look consistent, etc.

Maybe 15 to 18k damge, with out looking under it, hard to tell. Let us know what the estimates are...

if the frame is bent, most companies will consider it a total.

Least last time I had anyone I knew run into something that bad.

That doesn't look too bad (relatively speaking). When mine was totaled, my agent (AAA Insurance) told me that they pay off 100% on anything that is totaled within 6 months of purchase.

Maybe there's a spot in truck heaven next to my old '03

Takes a lot to total them cause they cost so much to begin with.

This came to just over $11,000.....
