Thats gay.

You're just jealous!):h

C'mon... think of the traffic you could stop if you smoked them up at a light.

Come to think of it Khumo offers tires that will smoke in BLUE too.

So if you are feeling patriotic about it, put her in 4x4, reg tires up front and one red and one blue on the back!

I'am fuzz but those Fords wont burn rubber to save your live. However, in reverse, its a different game.

I pray on those winners with Civics and fart can exhausts loaded down with a wing big enough for a 747. Those dorks are ALL free game to me and my crew. We all hate that crap. I suppose we're not much better with V8's or diesels but at least our motors make REAL power and can move much more mass. I just dont get excited about the tuner or import market. Those things waste the air that my motors need to combust.

I almost bought one. It too was a 93 with 108k on it. After doin a lot of reading, I found out that the 4200 lb LT1 Caprices were flat outrunnin the stangs to 60,80, 100, 120.
They were the first full size tank to reach 140+ since the old Dodge Polara, 440's topping out at 147. I would love to have worked the road in those days but I would never want to give up all the technology that we have now.

Well, this one time on I-90 between Spokane and Ritzville a LT-1 Camaro and my Passat G-60 were racing. 144MPH or so.

My uniden beartracker alerted me to an incoming statie on a call in for a gray sedan and a red sportscar:eek: .... I let the Camaro win and pulled to the truck lane and set cruise to 67MPH. About 5 minutes later a 2dr Notchback 5.0 pulls up and gives me 'THE look' I never made eye contact with him.
Off he goes to catch Camaro boy. 20 minutes later I caught up to both of them. That 5.0 HAD to have been worked on. (160+MPH) in order to catch the Camaro that fast with a 15 minute headstart plus catching up to me.
Stranger than fiction.

You said it...HAD to have been worked on because they topped out at 135 or so. They were rated at 225 H.P. for 91-92 and 205 for 93.

Even with a fullsize light bar on top that slows down a car by 10 mph off its top speed. Each spotlight is good for 1.5 mph.

Should've looked over, nodded, and smirked.

I know, no light bar (all lights inside) and IIRC it had the 'phone dial rims' so that would mark it as a????

At any rate, it was Bad@ss. As far as making eye contact, i chickened out. I figured if I looked over, I would be the one getting stopped. If I had a chance to do it over again, I would do it the same way:o:

Did they look like this? Some agencies are using pretty much stock GT's even now a days. Ford does not make a police package mustang currently however rumor has circulated that they will with this new design sometime 07 model year. GT's have been deemed capable enoug and durable enough for severe service....They have an exceptional cooling system....

EXACTLY like that one, without light bar and spotlight. Yellow turning bar was mounted in the rear package deck, red and blues were in a single small unit on the dash and where the CHMSL resides.

I really wanted one. They're pretty much designed to get the crap beat out of it, like all cruisers. Designed to idle all day, jump curbs, brakes floored, and basically put to the limit on public roadways every day of their service lives....
Besides they make a million aftermarket bolton parts for that vererable 302......I went with an LT1 Caprice instead....

I cant seem get the friggen pics to upload.

Ya, good old pops has a 94 c.h.p. LT1 , he claims 140 mph, with no problems. But he usually drives it like a baby, 3000 mile oil, super unleaded etc.. He's had for about 8 years, and WILL NOT LET IT GO!!! not even to his son???? Nice car, lots of room... its suppose to out run the civilian 'impala ss'..

Unit453

They would NOT outrun the civilian model. Afterall, the SS was a "detuned"
9C1 police package. They were both good for mid 140 range. The 94's were the fastest years.

Hey Juice that's my neighborhood. I grew up in Othello, am quite familiar with I-90 between Ritz and Spokane. I used to see a red camaro in M.L. that had a low profile light bar and had POLICE lettering down the side in a chrome finish. I've never seen it pull anyone over though.

One of the funniest things I ever seen was about 6 miles west of M.L (I-90) out where the hills start to roll gently; there was this 3 mile or so stretch that 3 or 4 state patrol were setup on. One was at the crest of each hill (about 3 mi apart) and one or two were running between them just getting mostly ricers with fart cans and wings as Unit453 described. There are too many of those POSs in that area.

LOL, I know that stretch well, Fun place to 'open it up' but the police know this all too well!

Fun stretch of road though.

you have to admit it would be great to see black smoke dumping out the side from the exhaust and then nothing but red smoke around you at a stop light.. people would have no clue what was going on!
