I hear about guys talking about pulling in 4th or 3rd.
Stupid question coming up.... Is there a way to lock the trans in a certian gear or are you just not letting it go past that said gear?

i would think first would be the only gear u could lock it in. if u put it in 3 or 2 on an auto it just wont go past that gear. :ro)

Yes and no. When you put it in a certain gear it won't go above that gear.
3rd 4lo is your best combination for all around unless you are running lots of power. Our sled usually bogs the truck down enough that you can't really hit 4th and do any good. Hope this helps. Also make sure you use T/H so that the TC locks in second gear.

True. I guess I didn't say what I was thinking. T/H makes it lock in 2nd otherwise it doesn't lock until 5th.
