Hi guys,

Just spent this last weekend toting the family to and from a family gathering in the '99 Burb. I noticed that when up to temp, the Oil Pressure reading at idle is around 20-30. It comes up nicely when the vehicle is on the road, anything above idle.

I haven't noticed it doing this in the past - perhaps it did, but I didn't notice it. The '95 Tahoe doesn't seem to do this - it usually stays around 40, even at idle.

I am running Delo 400 15/40, with a Fram HP4 filter.

What do you guys think?

Sincerely,

Rob :)

Sounds right for a piston oil sprayer.

Thanks Bus Driver and Fermie - I appreciate the response. This is the most-responsive group in any forum I have been a part of. You guys rock like a spastic geologist.

Thanks,

Rob :)

Exactly the same as mine.

Sounds fine. as a data point my pressure (psi) is 60 until hot, 40 cruising 2000-2300rpm, and 20 hot idle.
