Suppose you had a Duramax with Edge and Predator, speed limiters and rev limiters removed, 285's, & 3.73's. At about what speed would your truck top out at? and with 4.10's?
And what causes the truck to top out? the ZF-6 or high RPM's?

I have 33"s which throw my speedo off by about 11% and it will run the limiter {97/98mph} on the speedo which which should be about 110mph and there is still plenty of peddle left.The RPM's are about 3K in 6th on the limiter.

At 3200RPMs you should be at 120MPH.

So you run out of rpm's before you run out of gear!?? 120mph I can live with that in a 7000lbs truck.

Has anyone raced an allison against the ZF-6? If so what was the result? Did the ZF-6 keep up? based on both trucks being equal (chipped the same, same tire size ect.)

I think that BD makes one but it's pretty pricey, IIRC it's around $400+. Nice looking unit though.

I'd say there are certian spots we 6spd owners have an edge but it's not in inital take off.I know I could beat an inexperienced driver that had an auto and the same mods as I do but I sure wouldn't put a 6spd up against Wade's truck. I just wish there was a way to eliminate the Censored limiter without spending $1300 on a TTS.Seems to me it shouldn't be that hard.GM can do it but refused to.

Check you tires mine felt nice, smooth, and straight. I had a bald set of street tires on to so that may have helped. I havn't tried with my new rougher tires. Someone had a speed calculator on here some where and that is how I found out how fast I was going. I think it was mannytranny that had it on here. I'll have to try it again. I have a nice flat 4 lane road I did it on at 3 in the morning so it was very clear. My dads old 98 dodge was very shakey at 115mph. Thats all the faster the stock Cummins could push her. His 03 redlines out at like 100mph. Stupid 4:10 gears. I could not beleive I was going that fast because it was so straight and true. Heck even with this chip turned down on level 3 I'll go from 50mph to over 100mph just passing someone. Gotta love it.:ro) I can't wait to see what level 4 is like.

Eliminate what?? I have no speed limiter and a 4500 RPM rev limiter what more can you eliminate? 4000 RPMs sounds so good with a 4" straight pipe and a smoking tires all at once. One of my friends said he had never seen so much smoke from a Duramax and the combo of black and blue(from tires) before. I told him that was just level 3 of 4. I think he is still trying to get his jaw back up where is should be.):h He just does want to toast his Alli. He was trying to race me and his superchip limped his tranny. I felt like saying aawwww thats a shame but then I remember all the trouble I have been having with me clutch and flywheel and tought that i better not say anything.:cool: Tell me if you ment something else but I don't know what else you can eliminate.
