Ok as you all know some of us were cheap and ordered our trucks not fully loaded. Some of us got the Worker edition DURAMAX!!!!!!:p: As you are all well aware that model does not come with the factory fog lights. So I ordered a catalog from my friends at PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS and saw a new light setup. It's the PIAA4000I kit. It says it has 2 settings and can adjust with your low and high beams. It is bright and at a price of $347.95 it looks better than going the stock OEM and spending $500 through the dealer. What do you all think? Thanks for any advice you can share on this matter.:)

I don't know about the PIAA's, but you can get the whole deal from the dealer for about $100.00. I did this on my 99 silverado. Kit came with two factory fog lights and the factory switch. Truck was already pre-wired so it took about an 1 hr. or less to install everything. You have to get the dealer to program your truck so it knows the lights are there. That was about $25 and took about 10 min. :)

its 250 for the 2 lights and wiring kit, and 200 for the install of it all and the programming from the dealer.

PSS> These new PIAA silvedado P-4000 light kit will also provide extra parking lights and/ or extra turn signals. :):):ro)

 Well..crap. Those prices have shot up since 2000. I'd just get the PIAA's then.

Your stealer is giving you the shaft, I can get the kit for 200 from the stealer here. You should just buy the kit and do it yourself it is not that hard.

IIRC I thought I saw the kits...switch and all for $125 on e-bay... easy to install your self you just need to have the dealer turn them on...

If the wires are the (pre-wired) I don't think you need the dealer to update the computer, didn't have to for my 2003, and I got the whole kit from the dealer for $165.00.

Got the whole kit for $175.00 from dealer, including the new airdam, switch wiring harness. easy to install, my truck didn't need to go to dealer to activate. my trucks build date is 5/05

Things must have changed. On my 99 I never had to buy an airdam or anything. I already had the holes in there for the lights and my truck came from the factory pre-wired and I still had to get the truck programmed. I'd just get the factory crap. Good enough IMHO...;)

HuH mine was built around there but I dont think I have it prewired on the workers edition. I see i have to cut the plastic out and I think this PIAA kit would be better than the stock fogs anyway. I don't know what to do but I must have more light on the truck. It is too dark driving around at night on all these dark streets. Thanks for any advice or help. BYE!!

did you order them? if not, i have a set of factory fogs that i took off my truck when i put on my Buckstop bumper, i used the wiring for the new lights but the old ones are still in the mounts. Just a thought.
