He said it depends on how well you "know" the dealer and which box you have. If the "numbers" in the stock program have been altered by the box you could void the warranty. I'm not sure how the Banks 6 gun works, but in any event you put it on and took the chance. You should tell them and be up front about what you did. There is NO NO NO reason to tell the dealer it was on the truck , they cannot prove it was , jus remove all the evidence of it , if you installed the switch thru a hole in the dash , remove it and put something there , I have a garage door opener where my Edge mounts. this is a "dont ask dont tell" deal Every Day Diesel 12-01-2005, 12:00 AM My dealer sells Edge and Hypertech so I asked if I brought my truck in with my Edge installed would you void my warranty. Take it off and say nothing.....I had a million problems with Edge J/A. Went through 3 boxes. Threw codes everytime. I was going back to the dealer once a week. One of the managers, I assume, (he was wearing a tie) asked how well I liked the truck and what I pulled with it. He also asked me if I had a "chip" in it yet. He had no idea why it was sittin in their bay nor did I tell him. I responded with a shaky no but I've been thinkin about it. He said, you will never go baclk to stock if you did. I didnt know how to read him. I didnt know if I was being quizzed or he was setting me up....Bottom line: DENY. DENY. DENY. | ||
