Anyone have any thoughts or experince with this set up? My local accessory dealer is pushing this pretty hard says its pretty good bang for your buck. It comes with a foam filter, new tube and some sleeves and hose clamps. The filter is just a drop in. Any input is appreciated. Nate

Any other thoughts on the True Flow system?

I sell them at work and have their informational video running on constant loop. It looks promising in the tests they do between a K&N type air filter, paper filter and then theirs.

Long story short - they sent me a intake kit to put on my truck and try. They gauranteed me I'd be so impressed with them I could sell the heck outta them. BUT, I don't want to put it on my truck if it's going to damage in the long run by letting dirt through.

Any info/experience/test results would be very appreciated.

Well, I installed the True Flow intake today. Didn't notice much SOTP meter but that's OK. I only drove it 5 miles after installation. I didn't notice any more whistle though. I capped off the baffle, and the tube is metal but I sure didn't notice any more whistle in the cab at all.

I thought the metal tubes were supposed to make the whistle louder.

That's what I thought, but sitting in the cab there was zero increase in turbo whistle (inside). Outside, or with windows down, didn't seem to be much louder either.

Drywall1,

We've played with them all at one time or another and we ONLY sell the AFE systems. Best bang for the buck, but they are not the cheapest either. Check out www.proguard7.com for info on diesels and filters and dirt etc. Call us if you have any questions, we'll be glad to help you.

Now that I've drove around a few days, the turbo whistle still is not any louder but the exhaust is definately louder. More of a growl in the cab now.
