This is like the magnet fuel atomization B.S. There is a reason why your fuel is dirty. The particles are so small that they are to light to settle. This plate/chamber device is not large enough to provide settling time due to the constant flow of fuel. If it worked, you would see the oil companies using it to purify oil sands in canada.

This IS a tough crowd. I think you may have
thrown the baby out with the bathwater on this one,
IMHO.

Take a look at their brochure again. The Boulder
Scrubber is an additional filter that is installed
between the fuel tank and the primary fuel filter.

I personally know the owner of Boulder Engineering,
and I assure you that he is the real deal.

If their Diesel Fuel Scrubber is a sham, why does
Boulder Engineering:

1. Have a real street address on their website?
2. Have a real phone number on their website?
3. Have their website hosted in the U.S. with
a real WHOIS listing?
4. Do no Spam advertising?
5. Have other real products for sale
(Quick Lube Equipment, Swim Platforms)?

I think you need to take another look.

Take a look at the picture. I see an opening on the bottom and one on the top. Open both, pour some diesel in the top and the junk washes out the bottom. Don't know if it works this way nut it sure looks like it. It doen't have to be garbage!

Tim, I think you may have misunderstood. They aren't saying the company isn't real, just they don't believe the claims for the scrubber. I'd like to see independent testing results.

I haven't looked at this unit either, but I do recall the US Navy resorts to oil scrubbing when dealing with contaminated lube oil and hydraulic systems.

Back on topic, yes the Navy does use oil purification by velocity separation. It works very well by the way.

Back on topic, in theory, the velocity changing fuel filter should work. However, I don't think our Duramax's can generate the flow rates necessary to make it very efficient.


I think a good ole' filter will work far better.
