was cruzing @ 60 or so , rolled into the throttle 1/2 to 3/4 (5th gear locked , never down shifted) around 80 or so it basicly shut down , pulled over shut the truck down , refired and drove away . the check eng. lite was on , and after several cycles of the key , it went away also the trans shifted fine thru the gears .

so this i am assuming is the first limp of the trans.

What do you mean by basicaly shut down? I suppose it's possible to limp the trans with a boost stick and the Edge EZ on 3. If you have you ever had a predator tune >65hp or a Predator tune with the Edge EZ you may have done some damage to the trans which finally raised it's ugly head.

I had a similar situation. I have the EZ and boost stick. I was probably beating on it a little more than you and I was going up a slight hill. Is there a trans indicator light on our trucks? Now I can't remember if it was a trans or engine light. Either way I had one of the two on till the next day and it went away. Needless to say I am running on level 1 or two from now on. I was a little disappointed, I was under the impression that our allison was suppose to be so tough. I never imagined that it would limp just under the vehicle load without towing.

when it shut down (the motor did not shut down , the power shut down) - it basicly was in 3rd or so gear ???? if i reved the eng. it would keep moving. i also ran the predator on 85 tune , (no boost stick) for approx 5000 miles. mabey a handfull of hard miles but not that many !!

Time for trans upgrades. After the first one it gets easier to limp it.
