Doc ID #1730759 #PIP3328C (11-18-05) should get your dealer on the right page.
Just tell them you have the surging at 1100-1400 RPM light throttle and you should get everything including the change fuel filter message IF it is available for your model.
There was discussion earlier this month about a calibration revision, but I'm guessing this is yet another...

Thanks for the info, although I have a quick question...I do have that 1100-1400 surge..but I also have "another" surge problem that I believe is different.
It happens when going really slow, coming to a stop, the engine "hiccups" just a little. It also did it the other day when I was in drive, but stopped, it reved up a few times for no reason, one time was really bad and almost put me through my garage door.
Is this the same thing? or different. I also have the thing where under light throttle (like the 1100-1400 range) it will kind jump up and down a little.
thanks

My ECM just burnt up (13,000 miles on the truck, NO idea why it died, honestly...I didnt do anything stupid)...is there any way to tell what software revision I have on it (the replacment ECM)? Is the only way to hook up my Tech 2 and "request programming info for SPS?". Im afraid to even TOUCH my ECM because im paranoid ill burn it up again... I wont be reloading my PPE HOT tune for a while :)

I assume since my truck is no longer under warranty, they would want to charge for the programming? I need to take it in for the rear center seat belt recall, maybe I can talk the SM into doing the program while they have it in for free...

The replacement ECM would need to be programmed prior to installation and would have whatever the current files were at the time of installation. New ECM's come blank.

I'm hoping so. Mine has done this too just as you come to a stop. Feels like nasty warped rotors or eliptical tires only the speed isn't fast enough to match. I haven't seen this for quite a while though so maybe it has passed.

Thanks Kennedy.
I had an appointment for Friday AM... for the Power Seat creep fix... and after reading your thread told them of this new update to the ECM...
My surge seems to be gone for now... The Service writer mentioned some "firmware" that he decided not to flash becasue it could lower my mileage..but he confirmed he loaded "something" as a fix... Any idea how long it takes for the loads to show up on the GM Calibration website?
Cheers.

According to GM's Calid website, my truck has the current calibration, but it hasn't been in the shop since June/July.
