I would like to fit side marker/signal lights to the side of our coach, because the signal at the rear can't be seen from the side. What colour lamps should I use, and would LED be best, any part #. Where would I pick up a feed?.:)

On my 5er the marker/signal light is red and it is at the same level as the turn signal on both sides. It is also forward several inches on the side. The light used is the same as the amber running/clearance lights. It just has a different color cap. My guess is that the feed would come from the tail lights.
I'm surprised you don't have these lights already installed. How old is your 5er?

Den,
We have a similar lighting pattern based on your pics. So I crawled under my 5er today and took a look. I can't see a good way to get in there. Now, I didn't slide the big slide out so I can't tell if there is a angle there. Have you called the RV dealer with your question? Maybe they can give you some ideas as to a good acces point. It might be that you need to cut a hole in your insulation to get into the side. I'm not sure. Let us know what you find out.

This is some rule about how far forward a red light can be placed. ON my fifth the middle light is amber and it flashes when the turn signal is on... Just like on semi trailers....
Do a search on rv.net I know someone was tring to wire his up so they flashed and there were people there that told him how.

I just bought from www.vehiclelight.com 2 LED running/signal amber. Now if I splice into the rear tail light for a feed to supply power for the side flasher, would this light up as well when when the stop light is on.If so what would I do,as the coach has red stop/signal. Please.

I have a 27ft travel trailer that has 3 markers per side. The red is at the rear and the the amber are front and midship, the unit does not have slides. None of the side markers worked with the turn signals.
I ended up placing a yellow marker about 8ft forward of the rear and low enough that I could fasten it to the side skirt (below the floor level)
I found the wires on the left frame and tapped into the brake lights. This means that the markers come on with the brakes or the turn signal (depending on what you are doing)
It helps a little when cars try to jump around you after you signal your lane change. At least they cant say they werent warned !
PM me if you have any other questions.
