I have the GM Card. My lifetime redeemed earnings is $4750.00 When I bought my 05 I had a $2000.00 earnings and GM gave me a loyalty bonus of $1000.00.
They give you a nickle for every dollar. The way to do it is buy everything on the card, food, fuel I even have my house and cell phone paid that way. The trick to this is to pay your bill in full every month.

I have used the GM card for over $8000. on 4 cars and trucks.
This is taken off of the price after any and all rebates, dealer discounts,
I don't tell the dealer I have GM until we have made the deal. At final paper work they call and get the discount.

Between my wife, son and myself I've purchased 5 GM vehicles in 6 years with the 6'th right around the corner and was never offered a $1000 loyalty bonus. I guess I'll just have to give them a call tomorrow and let them know my paper shredder is running to my right and will be fed plastic based on their explanation to me.
Maybe the fact that my account is paid in full every month has them saying screw him......

I used the card for around 6000.00 in rebates with the last purchase using 1600.00 and getting a 1250.00 bonus from GM. It's nice, but it limits you to 500.00 earnings in a year...I get that after 3 months and then I don't use the card anymore. It's got pluses and minuses...

Your card must be different then ours. Ours doesn't top at $500 though.

We used $731 on Casper 2 when just a couple months before we used appox $1500 on Casper 1. Right now we have an additional $773.78.

Right after I bought my truck they sent me a thing to get $2000 off another truck. Why couldn't they send that before?

Which card do you have? I only know of the regular one like mine, with the 500.00 cap, and the business one,that allows unlimited earnings for a year, only 2 % instead of 5, and only 1500.00 limit that can be used for a purchase.

We just have the normal GM card as far as I know. But I would call them and ask, I just pulled this off the GM Card website.

Thanks Kat...I just switched.....I had the Gold Card and was limited to 500.00 a year but could redeem anything I wanted..Now with the Platinum I can earn as much as I can, but am capped at 3500.00 when I go to buy...Thanks Again for the heads up...

GM card is a good deal IMO. 5% off up to 2000-3500$ depending on what you buy and good interest rate. Works for me. Another 2k is coming off my new LBZ for something I would use anyway. Why not get one if you buy a new car every couple years IMO
