My 03 Ext. Cab short bed diesel LT came with it. I believe the package has higher rate torsion bars, larger alternator, and wiring harness for cab/flashing light.

If your dealer told you that, go to another dealer that knows what he is talking about. As said before, it comes with different configutations, but not in an 8' bed Crew.

Mine has it.. 04 GMC 2500 HD D/A SLT EX Cab Short Bed.. I did a lot of research and found out you cna not get the option on a EX Cab or crew cab with an 8 foot bed. with a D/A. Most of the dealers did not know this.. Good Luckhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

RUMAXED, Nope, not when I heard last can you. If its a CC Sht/Lng bed you can as long as it doesnt have a diesel. At least the time I looked it was that way. Its kinda BS, Whats a CC like maybe 8-10" longer than an extended cab. Give me a break right. I cant get a reg cab 3500 diesel with the VYU option because my Cab to axle length is too long. 60" you can 84" you cant

Well, I didn't really want the plow snow anyway. I just wanted the heavy front supension for the height and off road clearence.

MEL, That wont make a diff anyways, A 6.0 with VYU, And a Duramax VYU or not, has the same T bars, suspension etc. All Duramaxs are pretty much Snow Plow Preps anyways, GM wont lead you to believe this, But a suspension between a VYU Dmax, And a Non VYU Dmax are identical. Just a couple stupid odds and ends make a VYU option what it is.

TheChevyHDMan,

That is fantastic news. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif If I was going to plow snow, I would buy the regular cab with a short bed to be able to plow parking lots and maneuver in small places.
