Has any body actually tested the bighead against the stock gate? NO  Im not talking about when it is twisted 7to 10 turns, I would like to see the bighead actuater arm at equel length to the factory actuater arm and test the preasure differences, to realy see if the spring is stronger or it holds more boost, seems that if you modded the factory that it to would do the same. This was done on early prototypes that were tested and not released , probably because of the dangers of us twisting it. If all things were equel is the bighead just a pricy fix for a factory gate that can be modded to do the same ? I do have the bighead, as it was easier to pay $175 than spend time moding the stock gate , plus I would need a stock gate to save ...........just incase -:t hard time explaining it twice that the same hill and the same trailer were at fault.
I will look for a factory gate on e-bay and do some mods and testing to confirm this , here is a pic of the early prototype wastgates on test engines

I have personally seen those test wastegates on several LB7 engines...........and I was told that they were adjustable for testing purposes as well.

IMHO,

The stock spring can only hold so much boost and for only so long, if you decide to test one out let us know how you do........
