I own a schrader valve fuel pressure guage 0-100psi, but where could I find a guage that reads low pressure more accuratly and vacume also? I have search the web and found nothing.

Yes, I wanted to use the test port, but I was hoping to be able to order on online. I did a search on Kent Moore and came up with nothing. I'm hoping to start being able to compare vacume with and without a secondary filter, and vacume increases as the filters age.

Yeah your gonna have to get it from a dealer. And its gonna cost you.

Try some of the aircraft tool supply companies, we used a lot of guages that had to read in finer or higher/lower ranges than is common for automotive.

Those are a couple of common ones. I didn't look to see if they had specifically what you wanted, but do a search for "aircraft tool supply" and you'll get some additional results.

I've taken the valve off and the threads are 14mm or 16mm can't recall. It might take some searching but you should be able to get a metric adaptor. I've never pursued it. I did notice the LLY motors have a different valve setup so I don't know about '04's.

If you want a vacuum/pressure gauge you can get those at most industrial distributors. Napa carries them too.

I think JK has a guage available that is maybe a little less expensive than the Kent Moore.

Jeli,

I purchased the Kent-Moore vacuum pressure gauge from Kent-Moore directly about 10 months ago. They do not have online ordering, I had to call in as posted above. I wanted the gauge to evaluate my supplemental filter installation and its effect on vacuum levels in the system. I presently use it to determine when to change the fuel filters.

The KM gauge from the manufacture is expensive,,, about $200. The key here is getting the actual fitting that goes to the Schroeder connector (if thats the correct term). You could probably piece this together for under $100. And by the way, the actual gauge you get from KM is nothing spectacular. It does the job though.

Another thought is to actually insert another high quality fitting either in place of the current fitting on the truck or else in parallel with it. I looked at this a long time ago and if I remember correctly, it is just connected with rubber tubing to the steel fuel line.

Just some random thoughts,

Alan

If you have post OEM secondary filtering why not connect the gauge to the output side of your secondary filter, no special fittings required.
