In an attempt to solve the "droan" problem on my '05 LLY a dealer installed the '06 exhaust system on my '05 about 3 weeks ago as per a TSB.
The droan used to occur between 50-55 mph. Now it is between 60-65 mph, but more interestingly I can produce alot more black smoke when I get on it hard than when I had the '05 exhaust on. Additional my exhaust doesn't have the "sweet" smell that it used to have, now it has that traditional diesel smell. Nothing else on my truck has changed and I'm running the Predator on 40hp.
The only thing I can think of is that they changed the CAT on the '06 exhaust system.
