I Recently built up an 06 2500HD Reg Cab. LBZ. With most options the MSRP comes to 40K. The Reg Tag price came to 33K! wow, what a discount. I hauled a** over to the dealer to get one ordered that same day. Of Course, this was to good to be true, the dealer told me no, there was an error on the website, best they could do was 35K after the 1000K rebate on the LBZ. Frustrated, I went back home and called GM, after about 30 Min. of chat they confirmed to me the error on the website, claiming a number of errors they are encountering regaurding their website. Anyone else come across this?

Keep pushing and see if they will honor the price. It's false advertising as far as I am concerned. Likely won't work but the squeaky wheel get the grease.

Yeah, already tried the whole "You Bas***ds should honor that" speech. It did no good at all. I was told the website was taking into account the wrong rebates. I am a loyal gm customer to the bone, but this is false advertising, error or not. They still have not corrected the error today. I did all of this last friday.

I saw that when the redtag prices came out, that they were giving all HD's the $2500 dollar rebate instead of the listed rebate of $1000 on LBZ trucks. I even emailed the website, and got an automated BS response. I had not gone to a dealer to check the prices, as I caught my limit for now.

The defect is still not fixed as of tonight.

The rebate mistake on the LBZ isn't the only one, either.

The www.GMC.com "build and price" adds a total $12,740.00 just for the "Heavy-Duty Power Package" because it adds the $5,310.00 cost of LBZ engine in addition to the $7,930.00 cost of the Heavy-Duty Power Package which of course already includes the LBZ. This particular mistake has been that way for months; at least since only the LLY was available.

The "Red Tag Pricing" on www.GMC.com applies the $2,500 incentive, too, instead of the correct $1,000 incentive.

Two good sources for pricing, including dealer costs, are:
www.edmunds.com
www.kbb.com

I built up an LBZ on the 18th of Nov. and jumped on the price, fleet manager told me it was no good, kids were running the website etc. I called and went thru about 45 min. on the 800 line. The rep kept going back and forth to a manager, finally told me she had to investigate and get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Saturday morning went to the website..... totally changed, disclaimer on corvettes and lite trucks, different pricing, even different format on the site. They musta busted butt all night to get it changed. But I tricked em, went in Mon. and ordered a new LBZ anyway. Still haven't heard back from help line...

well, I got my truck ordered anyhow, dealer said $100 over invoice then any other rebates that come out could be applied before financing. He did believe that the rebate would increase more the $1000 on the LBZ in Jan. or Feb. Should be able to set price below 35K from the 40K built up. Dont believe its very ethical to have these prices posted online and not honor them. :blahblah:
