Anyone know how the recent news on GM plant closings will affect the Silverado production lines? Bad news for the guys in Oklahoma City and Lansing. I read they are the first 2 plants on the list for next year. I thought the Silverado line was from Pontiac, Michigan plant?

Feel sorry for the guys in the trenches that this will affect.

A quick look through the plants that were announced looks like several made SUVs. The Lansing plant only made the SSR. I don't think I saw any plants that made pickups on the announcement.

The GMT800 truck lines are big movers, if you see those plants closing, things are looking very bad. A decline of SUV sales should not come as a surprise to anyone.

What's up with the multiple post saber rattling? GM or any other domestic automaker's woes aren't anything new! Major changes are in order for the manufacturer to the unions, but does this post belong on here? Paaaleeese! Production will not stop!!
