Dodge owners, how can you tell which is which, i know its in the vin but what number or digit am I looking for here? Thanks.

chevy2500 11-21-2005, 06:24 PM Anybody? mikmaze 11-21-2005, 07:42 PM look at the advertised hp tag on the side of your "valvecover", should be a white tag with the adv hp in a box black text, 325 would be a 04.5........ good luck I know I had some when I saw the numbers :D moose3406 12-05-2005, 01:18 AM If u can, check the turbo. 04.5 trucks have a solenoid mounted on the compressor housing that is connected to the wastegate head by a piece of black rubber hose. The solenoid is about an inch or so in diameter and about 2 inches long. Also an 04.5 will not have the throttle cable assenbly on the front of the head just about the injecton pump like the earlier models do. So there r no cables or n e thing running from the pedal into the engine compartment. Seems the one sure way of knowing if it is not an 04 is the 325 advertised HP tag.
