I just finished installing this on my drivers seat. It consists of a pad for the cusion, pad for the back, and wiring harness with switch. Installation is fairly simple, but a bit time consuming. Pull the covers off of the cusion and back, put teh pads on the foam, then recover. According to the directions, they are supposed to include some double sided tape for fixing the pads to the seat foam. The tape did not come with mine so I used some 3M Super 77 Multipurpose spray adhesive. I think this was better than the tape. The whole heating pad is held in place rather than just a few strips where the tape would be. I'm not familiar with the dash on any of the trucks other than my 01. Below my radio a lil door lifts up to expose the cig lighter and 2 aux power sockets. I cut the back off of one of the aux sockets and mounted the switch inside of it. It's a near perfect fit. I don't like putting holes in the dash if I don't need to. I only bought pads for the drivers seat so by keeping the switch semi-hidden my passengers will never know my butt is toasty warm while they are freezing theirs off!! And it does get nice and warm. I just finished a test drive and my buns are happy! I think the price, shipping within the lower 48, is $112.00. I had to pay a bit more due to increased shipping charges. You no longer have to have leather seats to have heated seats. I'm not selling these, not affiliated in any way. I'm just a satisfied customer. If you live in the cold country and don't have the stock heated seats you ought to check these out.

This was the one option they didn't offer unless you ordered bucket seats, had buckets on the last truck. Went with Bench seats this time around. What kind of time frame for the install, seems like it would be a nightmare self installation? Still trying to figure out how you would access the cushions in the seats, but the Price seems pretty reasonable!

I haven't pulled a bench out of one of these but it should be very similar to those in other vehicles. Pull the bolts holding it to the floor and take the seat out. Turn it over and unbolt the cushion from the frame. On the bucket seats it's pretty easy to pull the cover off of the cushion. Seems it would be about the same for the bench. At the back of the cushion are two interlocking plastic channels. Pry them apart, then unclip the hold downs at the front and sides. The cover will come right off after that. If you only wanted the cushion heated you could get by with one set of pads instead of two, just use the pad for the back on the passenger side of the bench cushion. It's the same pad, just with a different plug on the end of the harness. It would be simple to do.

I missed your question about time. I did it by myself with constant interruptions from my dog and the phone. I'd guess 2 hours for the seat, from bolted in place back to bolted in place. I could have done it a bit faster but I really took my time. Another body to help would have been nice but not mandatory. My wiring took forever because of where I put the switch and not being familiar with tearing out the dash. If you put the switch in a reasonable possition it shouldn't take long at all.
