For some reason ever since I have owned my truck it sound like is raining. Is this the same problem every one was talking about with the window seal or is this something new? any ideas on how to fix it. Only got about 59,000 on the truck.

if you have a bug deflector, thats most likely it

If you have a bug deflector it makes the trim on the sides of the windshield vibrate. I ran a bead of silicone up both sides and it cured the noise.

Freeride,
Bugshields can cause air turbulance aroung the windshield trim and makes it flutter casing the noise. It does sound exactly like rain or sand hitting the windshield. Check out this link for some ideas. Also their is a GM TSB on the problem.

on 01 and 02 trucks the moldings on the side of the windshield are made from a different grade of plastic/rubber than newer models. glue them down as blue max said.you dont need to remove them to do this, just cut the nozzle small and peel the molding up where it lays on the windshield and run a bead all the way down. push it down onto the winshield and clean up the excess. we use urethane adhesive at work, same as what the windshield is glued in with but silicone will work. wil

I found another cause: there are huge rubber lips between the door and the A-pillar. Here in Germany I can run on the highway until 110mph.... so Igot these "raining sounds", too. I glewed the rubber lips and now its fine ;)

its most likely the rubber flaps over the hood hinges hitting the bottom of the hood, lift the hood you will see the flaps i'm talking about. you can cut them shorter so they dont reach the hood when the wind gets under them.

I had the same issue that for the most part was door adjustments that the dealer can handle. However, many wanna alibi and get reimbursed by GM but not fix it. After several dealers, one in TX was able to pretty much fix it. Had to argue w/the tech, go on a test drive w/him, remove the aftermarket ant. excuse during the drive. Switch seats w/him etc and guess he concluded that I wasn't gonna let him slide.
However, in returning to CA, I noticed that on highspeed turns/curves to the right, it would have a wind noise as it the centrifugal force was unseating the drivers door seal. Took it in and the writer started w/the aftermarket ant, camper roof rack yada yada ~ deja vu and couldn't take it anymore, I cut him off by telling him that if thats the best he has, don't touch nothing on the truck.
Hope I've not bored you into leaving before this point but there was a thread about front bearing failures before 58Kmiles. Thot to check my torque on the front axel nut and the drivers side was loose ~ and surprise surprise, my wind noise on the turns (mayber your rain noise?) disappeared. Its a long longshot but in my case who would've guessed?

I thought these trucks have speed limiters on them? Is this "feature" only in the US?

yes, speed is limited at about 105mph. I think, that it is enough for a truck. My normal speed is 90 mph.
