Does anyone know where to get the GM Pto switch kit? The dealer says they are discontinued. Checked for availibilty from other dealers. No luck. Everyone has sold theirs. So does anyone know where I can get one. Has anyone hooked one up to get the variable Idle speed for PTO work?
Any help would be appreciated. I have looked on the www.gmdieseltech.com (http://www.gmdieseltech.com) website like was suggested here but have not found it listed.
Thanks,
runnwo

i had one put in a few days ago. Not the actual GM part, they used there own wires and whatever it takes i guess. I have a GM part number for it if u want. They told me they could order one in but it would be a few days.

Was it (Part Number 12497678)?
My dealer tried to order and it was canceled. I was there when they called a support number and they were told they stopped carrying it due to them losing the manufacturer of the switch. I would love to get one though. Any help is apperciated
Thanks

Runnwo, yes, thats the number. I guess i was told that they could order one in, but the dealer did not order one, so maybe they didnt realize it was a discontinued part. Good luck.

These only aloow for a couple of set speeds correct? I was looking for the switch that allowed you to have the variable opition where you can dial the speed up or down.
Thanks

The PTO switch is no different from cruise control lever. I think there might be an option in the programming (Tech II) to change it to allow setting the speed up and down but that might only be LB7s. I haven't heard of it in a while. Either way, the PTO switch doesn't add any functionality over the cruise control switch.

It's nice to see PPE dropped their price down to $30. The used to charge over $200 for that.

Regardless you can do the same thing with a $1 pin. There is no rocket science here, it's the same thing we all have been doing for years.

yeah, you can change any of the various PTO speeds with a Tech 2. I changed mine to 1250 RPM and 1900 RPM (set and resume/accellerate on the cruise control).

Change the turn signal multi function switch to one with cruise and you will have cruise. You can pick them up for a bit over $100 if you find the right places (not gm dealer)

Yep. You can get one from any dealership. You should be able to find a better deal if you go to a place that sells aftermarket cruise controls. You can also try to find a delco distributor.
