Finally ordered guages - Duramax Pre Turbo 2 gauge package with full pillar mount from Kennedy Diesel.
Any recommendations on the installation - install them myself or have a "professional" do it?

I did mine myself except for having the pyro probe drilled and installed in the exhaust manifold (and even then, I ended up modifying it). Only did the pyro and installed on the dash ...

How have you guys dealt with the tweeter on the A-pillar?
I have the Bose system and I want to get JK's package but I don't think he has the pillar overlay with the tweeter hole.
JK you can jump in here anytime and help me out...

Mark it and cut a hole in the overlay. Later! Frank

Is that an 1 1/4" hole? or is the tweeter a little bigger?
by the way, thanks Frank!

I generally remove the tweeter, mock the pod to the pillar, and mark through the hole, then cut myself.
Propods has a new listing with the hole, but cutting your own can be more accurate...

I got my pod from Diesel Injection Service. Came with the hole already there. I think it was made by Autometer.

No big deal, but I noticed at Eric's diesel day in Grand Rapids last year that they swapped the position of the fuel level and oil pressure gauges. I have an '02 and the '03's were swapped. Wonder why they would go to the trouble? Anyone else notice?
Perhaps all this shows is that I have too much time on my hands!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
