It is the poor mans way of getting some sound but I had a muffler delete pipe installed this week and I must say that I am very pleased. Thanks to everyone who has posted info on this subject (which has been covered a million and one times). Has to be the best $75 mod I have ever done. Try to get a sound clip up in the near future if anyone is interested.

What did it do to the sound? Does it drone? idid you remove the cat? And last question "whew" What kinda preformance gain did you see? I'm fixin to do the same, real soon!

Sound- I love it, however that opinion will very depending on which person you talk to. At certian RPM's it sounds like my old 04 5.3 with a 40 series flowmaster and single outlet. At other RPM's its not much louder than stock. It does have an awesome fluttering sound during the entire RPM range (My favorite part).

Drone- Its not as bad as what I thought it would be. You can tell that there is no muffler in place however it only gets mild drone under medium. Yet to see what it does when I tow.

I left the cat in place for now and as far as performance goes, I may have gained a little bit but noting astronomical. They way I look at it, for the $75 bucks that I paid, it was worth every penny. I will try to get you some sound clips together.

Is yours an LB7. LLY, or LBZ? This will does make a difference in the sound.

legrizz Is your truck an LB7 or an LLY? My straight pipe sounds awesome also!!!! Turbo spools alot quicker and slightly lower EGT's.

LB7 and I love it. I guess the LLY's sound like a jet strait piped. I would like to hear that.
