Help! My 2000 Ford F550 30K miles has run great till I got water in my fuel tank. I towed the truck to my Ford dealer- who tells me it needs a new motor. I find this crazy. The truck is now completely disassembled (cab off) motor taken all apart in his shop. The reason that they give me is they can only get 200# compression in two cylinders. No explanation what may have happened. Just pay me $13,000 for new motor. Oh yah- if you want it back pay me $2,500 to release it. I keep hearing how tough this diesel motor is. 30k miles doesn't seem like good service. Don't know where to turn.:( :help:

How much water did you get in the tank?? If the engine got hydrolocked and broke something inside, it COULD be possible that it needs a rebuild...but im not an expert on the Powerstrokes really...thats just an educated guess. Did you tell them you got water in the tank? If you did, that was not a good idea!!! The engine might have been covered under warentee...what they dont know wont hurt 'em.
