I have a passenger side window that has stopped working. The dealer charged me $75 bucks just to tell me that he thinks it's the regulator motor. They offered to switch it out for $250. Does anyone know if the motor on the window regulator just drops down from the regulator after you lossen the four screws holding it. When I removed the four screws, it seems to hang up on something-like a lock nut or something.--Thanks Ken

Tape window in the up position (on outside of truck, window to door), remove door panel and plasic, remove 6? screws holding regulator/cable/bracket assembly, loosen 2 screws holding window to reg., remove regulator assembly, go in with new one. Simple, should take 30 minutes...

Thanks but the regulator is ok. It's just the motor that is bad. Not the entire regulator assembly.--Ken

The motor is apart of a big assembly that includes the cables and rails (aka regulator), it should all be the same.

Thanks Rttoys but the dealer I took it to says that all I need is the motor. He indicated that all that needs to be done is to remove the motor and relace with a new motor -not the enitre regulator. It looks to me that the motor just unbolts from the plastic piece where the cables wind up. If this is the case, I can do that myself and save a few bucks.--THanks Ken

They did start making the motor serviceable, but I just found it easier to replace the entire assembly. It's all the same.
