Just noticed that my night time lights are on all the time . . . I first noticed this when the map for my TNR was dark during daylight (changes from white to dark at dusk); checked outside the truck & sure enough, the lights & clearance lights were on as well. It's been like this for a few days now . . . any ideas what this might be from???? (and of course, I JUST exceeded the warranty mileage :() Thanks!!!

Probably a bad or disconnected ambient light sensor (the little black bubble on the front of the dash top in the center). Did you break it when you took the dash top off to install the nav unit? I broke mine (because I was stupid and rushed) and while it was disconnected when I was waiting for a replacment, the auto headlights would stay on ALL the time...so its probably something wonky with your ambient light sensor...whether its broken or just disconnected. Id start there in your troubleshooting...

btw luckilly its only like a 25 dollar part...although since your warentee JUST expired you might be able to get a brake from your dealer.

You know, I think I had something similiar to that last night/this morning. Will double check later today/tonight.

The dealer installed the TNR about 3 months ago & everything was fine until late last week . . thought about that little sensor & even cleaned it off to see if that helps, but it didn't. I do have a replacement pillar cover (was ordered under warranty) that is going on this week, so while I'm there, will ask them to check it out & hopefully they'll cover it.

So this afternoon I got in the truck, lo & behold . . . . the night time lights went out & my screen was white again!!! Not too sure what happened, but I'm not complaining . . . just a little confused
I did started parking in my garage about a week ago & when I fire up the truck, the night time lights almost always come on . . . maybe the daylight up here hasn't been bright enough over the past few days to trip the sensor back off . . . . it's never been an issue before, but that's all I can come up with . .
Oh well, it's working now so I guess I'm good . . .
