I bought a 2003 CC SB D/A and it has the NG1 emissions on it. I havn't taken posession of the truck, but is on it's way to me. I was curious what is added to the NY/VT emissions package? How is it different from the standard federal package? I know that the CA has egr and I guess a cat as well.

Thanks

Chuck

Bowtie, My 04 ( Mass. ) has the cat and egr. I dont know if it is the NG1 package or not. If you dont need the package to pass emissions, take out the cat, get a 4" exhaust. You are all set. I dont know if there is any way to do anything about the egr? Anyone ?????

Two flavors of the '04 models out there now. The first is the LB7 engines with or without CAT and EGR. Which one you got depends on where the dealer was that it was shipped to when new. The California emission package which included those items was also specified by some other areas of the Country, mostly the North East.

The second flavor of the '04 models is the LLY engine trucks. This engine was released primarily to comply with new Federal emission standards effective 01-01-04, and they all have CAT's and EGR since there is now a 50 State common standard.Edited by: Zeeb
