If you have a high preformance diesel pickup truck, even one with just a chip or turned up injector pressure. you should take a look at the new blabla's introduced at SEMA. The factory harmonic balancers are not made to soak up the heavier harmonic torsional vibrations caused by these routien power upgrades. Unfortunately the higher power output can lead to accelerated bearing wear, as well as the increased possibilty of catastrrophic engine failure. blabla has extensive dyno testing to show how their product works. If you own one of these trucks you should check out their web site at disappearing link or find out more about torsional vibration at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/harmonic_balancer

Most Winston/Nextel Cup engine builders quit using Fluid Dampner 10 years ago due to broken crankshafts. :(
I personally lost 3 Southwest Tour motors before I quuit using them.
I'd like to see some before and after graphs of 2nd 3rd and 4th order harmonics on a Duramax before I considered using one.
Sorry to be so negative but that was an expensive lesson learned.

There are better balencers out than a Fluid Dampner IMO

Boy, with such a professional introduction like that, I'll be buying one as soon as they hit the market.
What do they do?

We build quite a few NHRA Stock and Super Stock engines. Every one of them uses ATI.
