: '06 LBZ best HO HP Programs and other good stuff
duramax dude 11-12-2005, 11:26 PM OK all you  BIG 'Dura' :ro) fans, lay it on me. What is the biggest - baddest but DEPENDABLE High Output High Horse Power Programs and other add ons for the 06 LBZ with the six auto.??
I have '02 with PPE Tech 4, Duramaximizer, Propane injection and full trans modifications. I like it except for the lack of dependability-:t from the injectors and whatever other problem is inside my engine:( , be it from me with Duramaximizer or Tech 4 or be it GM on a Monday after your best football team tanked to the worst ranked in the season.Censored :badidea:
:grd: Tell me what you have / had and what if any problems came up. I am looking to sell my '02 and order a '06 LBZ dually crew.
Thanks for reading and responding.:help: It helps alot. I will try and do them same.
Mark - Duramax Dude
BigShrimpah 11-12-2005, 11:32 PM there are very few, if any good programmers for the LBZ at this time
DURAtotheMAX 11-12-2005, 11:36 PM So far there is only a Duramaximizer (fuel rail pressure increaser) for the 2006 trucks. However, I would stay away from "tuners" like these, because its not worth the extra stress on the fuel injection system that the increased pressure gives. Edge is coming out with a Juice for the 2006 trucks fairly soon and I think other companies already have tuners in beta testing phase. If you can wait about a month or two, there will probably be a lot more options.

extrakt0r 11-12-2005, 11:47 PM Dude...Maybe if you spent more time reading the top 5 threads and less time worring about which emoticons to use, you would know the answer to this question w/o having to start a whole new thread to ask something that has been asked and answered 50 times alread...
hd90rider 11-13-2005, 01:37 AM :exactly: :agreed:
Trippin 11-13-2005, 02:04 AM Easy there guys....we're all friends here.
Welcome to "The Diesel Place" Dude. :cool2:

ned946 11-13-2005, 12:35 PM What's wrong w/ stock?
It pulls like a tank already for me...that's the way its gonna stay (maybe I'll add an extra fuel filter).
One happy camper already! :exactly:
duramax dude 11-13-2005, 06:48 PM Thanks for all the replys. As for emoticons, I get tired of looking at the world in black and white, so why not look at it in color...the girls look better in them.
I have tried to read some of your threads, but most are about things not regarding HP and HP options for the Duramax other than reference to a name and it's cool or it's not.. Juice, Predator...ok what do each do and which is better for what reasons.?? That was and is my question.
The responses to me and other threads I have read haven't answered all my curiosity, but most have helped. Thanks for the time to read and respond.
It is all good in virtual land, and reality also. Emoticons are good when backed up with something other than    :offtopic:
I plan on waiting before buying so I do not make the $50k mistake the other guy made by not researching and then even lookin gunder the hood for himself. By the luck with the dealer I had where I purchased the '02, I plan on knowing the answers to my question(s) and not just using emoticons.
To Ben, thanks for the response about the Duramaximizer. Your a cool one.:cool2: :exactly: :ro) I would rather push my truck while it's in warranty period to see defects before I go passed it.
So far, the options I am using per the spec's are below the engines max capacities by about 20%.
JoshH 11-13-2005, 07:00 PM Just so you know, in order to prevent further flaming, any "tuner" questoins should be asked in the X-engine Electronics forum. The LBZ now has it's own forum for this here (http://dieselplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=146). Also for future reference exhaust and intake has it's own general forum as does propane, nitrous, and water-methanol. Good luck with the truck when you get it. :thumb:

surfrippa 11-13-2005, 07:08 PM btw funniest post i have ever read..
Yeah but wait a while, theres really nothing out now, you already got a LLY with lvl 1 boost on it! Also i would at least get like 2 miles on it before putting a chip on there,
you gotta at least get the tranny warm right?
ALSO welcome to the board, this is the traditionary "newbie use the search button" lecture but in other words. Try using the search next time.. Also there is whole forum JUST FOR LBZ electronics..
duramax dude 11-14-2005, 02:56 AM Thanks for the direction. Just stumbled onto this site this last week. Before then, basically no help on Duramax tech stuff. The dealer and dealer mech (most, not all) could not help much.
I tried the search section and saw the electronics and propane and etc sections. I will get into them next time I am on. Thanks for the flaming, it helped to feel alive.!!
As for chip or etc on new'06, I didn't want to trade my '02 for an '06 if there were no benefits other than another chance on GM. I really like the Duramax. I spent 10 years around American trucks every weekend and then later on every day in my teens. Back then, Dodge looked ugly and ran ugly, Ford was tough but a little on the plastic side for interior and GM looked good and sounded good as well as ran good. Ford seemed to go the longest, GM maybe the strongest and Dodge..well just was a competitor....next to International and Jeep.
When I bought my '02 Duramax, Cummins was loud and not very high ended, Ford was blowing out it's transmissions even with a de-tuned strong engine, and GM had this thing called a Duramax w/ (DA). I tried the Duramax, because I knew the Allison name for trans was probably the best in trans dept.
Anyways this is why the "mis-use" of the thread(s) and section/category. My apology to all who suffered the torture of my emoticons and repeated questions in your previous group discussions.
Stay Cool:ro) and Thanks for allowing me in. Duramax Dude
surfrippa 11-14-2005, 02:58 AM Dood, i hear the mods whispering, i think your in ):h ,
hey dont worry i get it almost every day. Im still a newb.

_nar_ 11-14-2005, 03:23 AM I'll fix your wagon!
Or at least move this thread to lbz electronics.
Chevyduty84 11-21-2005, 11:17 PM u sure it was an lbz cause the only thing i thought was out was the duramaximizer. I know they have the crazy larry for lb7 and llys but LBZ wasnt aware of that.
06lbzduramax 11-22-2005, 07:27 PM I talked to bullydog today, nothing for lbz till january
Chevyduty84 11-23-2005, 04:29 PM Thats what i thought too. But if it is true they musta really done some work on the ally to hold 440 rwhp on a stock tranny.:ro) That would also make u wonder if the lbz is turned up to its fullest yet........
Donovan 11-26-2005, 05:50 AM Same goes for Edge from what they have told me and what I've heard...nothing till Q1 06'.
extrakt0r 11-27-2005, 02:01 AM For BullyDog's Site...
"2006 Duramax owners! Bully Dog is completing its testing on the Power Pup downloader (Part # 43568) for the 2006 Duramax. Check with your nearest dealer to get your hands on the first performance enhancement for the 2006 Duramax. The GM Power Pup '06 downloader will work on both the 2006 LLY and the 2006 LBZ motors. "
Maybe the Dealers won't have until after the 1st of the year?
desert-rat 11-28-2005, 09:05 PM add on are ok but with the programmers it does ruin your warranty no matter what some people tell you
WHISTLER06 12-25-2005, 11:46 AM What's wrong w/ stock?
It pulls like a tank already for me...that's the way its gonna stay (maybe I'll add an extra fuel filter).
One happy camper already! :exactly: yea thts the best id think of 2 buddy already haus cat enough jus leavem stock/ 06 lbz/3500miles on'er now:ro)
06lbzduramax 12-25-2005, 12:21 PM no one needs a bigscreen tv a 15" b&w is good enough?, no girl needs to wear a thong either, granny panties are just fine? why have color or option choices when you buy your truck? if chevy only made them one color and with no option choices they could make them faster, and they would be cheaper, there are many things that will work, its choice and freedom to do what you want that make this world what it is. and it is the aftermarket industry, and consumer demand for improvement that drives the manufactures to make a better product. I could go on for day's on this subject but to sum it up, what if every truck you pulled up by was just like your's? and there was nothing you could do about it because there was no aftermarket industry, would that be ok?
merry christmas to all, and my rant is now over.
FASTOYS 12-28-2005, 09:41 AM I agree 100% !!! People who say they have "enough" power obviously havent driven one with a performance enhancer! :) Stock is best. NOT!!
DURAtotheMAX 12-28-2005, 10:45 AM add on are ok but with the programmers it does ruin your warranty no matter what some people tell you
thats only if they catch you.:D Every time my truck has gone to the dealer its had a PPE 90hp tune loaded in the ECM. They havent said anything to me..
