Was at my dealer today for a recall ,took a walk to the truck lot to see what LBZ's they had,saw a nice black k2500hd cc sb lt3, sticker was 48k.I saw a silver one beside it, the sticker said 38k.That got my attention! Reading more I noticed 4.10 gears,4 sp.trans.NO power pkg.indication,I looked down there was the new LBZ badge, walked around to other side NO badge!This was a 6.0 gas 3/4 ton with a LBZ badge on it.Called my salesman over and asked him if I showed him something that needed to be removed from a truck,could I have it?He laughed and said "yeh sure",you should have seen his face when I showed him what I had found. Now I've got something for that empty space on the tailgate of my 06'LLY.

LOL, that's great. I know the LBZ's are supposed to be really quiet, but I don't think they're that quiet.

Yeah ive seen that happen before, last time I saw the truck it still had the badge and it was in for service at the service department at my dealer.

The stealer probably put it on, hoping some unsuspecting customer would pay too much for a gas truck thinking he got a smoking deal on a diesel !!

One of the first nbs Silverados at our local dealership in 1999 had a Z71 sticker on one side and a 4x4 sticker on the other....

When I bought my 2001 3500 crew cab It had chevy badges all over & all where they belonged. When I got to the dealer for something I asked him to help do some research!! Since I saw this in the plant QUITE OFTEN, I asked him to walk around the truck with me for an appearance issue that I had caught! We had a chevy grill, chevy badges & a chevy tailgate. The problem was that when you set in the drivers seat the steering wheel SAID GMC. The big problem was, you had to replace the entire steering column because of the air bag!!

Then again, maybe that's GM's answer for the cold start knock on the 6.0... if it sounds like a diesel, put a badge on it :lol:
