The Ally in my 01 is stupid as hell it doesnt know how or when to shift. Sometimes it wont shift into 5th If I have it is T/H mode and other times when I am creeping up a steep driveway it will bog down in 2nd all the way until just about kills the motor and then will bang down into first and break the tires loose...WTF??? I have to feather the go pedal now to keep it from shift so harshly into first. ALL of this happens while towing only.

The 04 LLY always knows what gear to be in and when to down shift. So what is the problem here???

Scan it. Could be a nuetral switch.

The dealer scanned it cause the cel was on but the only code that was thrown was bad glow plug relay. Is it possible that they missed the code or didnt scan the tranny or what?? I guess what I am asking is are their any special tools required that my dealer may not have?
