I had my cat back system installed today at a custom shop. When I say these guys are good at custom jobs I mean it. I had them do lots of cars and trucks and they always come out awesome. I would have had them make one but as you know 4" benders are hard to find.

We bought two systems.. one for my buddies 05 F250 and one for me...

So today the day to have installed...

My bud did his 05 F-250 first, Anyway the guys ***** and moaned a little about how it wasn't bent right pipes didn't fit together hangers bent the wrong way etc etc. it went in, in about hour and 15 min. Install Looked nice, sounded nice but polished... NFW it wasn't as nice a have seen from Silverline by no means. As far as the install I figured they were just busting him because these guys are die hard Chevy nuts, the parking lot is filled with SS muscle cars...

My turn.... they start, we go eat.... Come back and they hardly have done anything.. front pipe on and the only tail pipe is coming off...*****in whining from the guys... etc...I can see this is going to take more than a hour so I head back to work.. over 2 hours later... she's done...

I get there all the guys in the shop hate me and the f-ing system... WTF I'm thinking. really the owner was and always is real nice. Just the guys actually doing the work.. you know...

One guy told me that was the biggest pain in the A33 to do It was made for a different truck he said. Same issues along with the tail pipes are to short and at different lengths out the side before adding the tips. The pass side tip is pushed in all the way into a bend and the drivers tip is hanging on by a thread just to get them even. And this is barely reaching out from under the bed. 80 % of the system had to welded up. I'm happy it's in, but I wanted to have it bolted in so I could remove it when I sell it someday, I wasn't planing on giving away a 304 stainless system. have you price them... holy poop, for what we paid these should have gone in like butter or by itself! As it stands one of the tips has a big shiner on top.

ANSA customer service is getting a call from that's for sure! 3 hour at pro shop and still isn't right!

I would find a new speed shop.
I did my Silverline on my back in the driveway in an hour and a half.
The system looks great. Install was easy. Everything lined up.
I had a small rattle I had to deal with, but I just chucked that up to not doing on a lift.

Wow, I agree. The installation should NOT be that difficult especially for a speed shop. We do these exhaust systems daily and have never ran into those types of issues. In fact, we have a rookie 18 yr old kid doing exhaust now and he has yet to hit a snag. Sounds like either the wrong tail sections were shipped or installer error.

I was thinking the same thing but they were packaged in two seperate boxes. and the pipe that mates the converter is so different there is no way it could happen.

The sagga goes on...

Now i'm getting codes... PO401- exhaust gas recerulation flow insuficiate and PO404- Exhaust gas recerulation open position proformance.

This is running in stock mode going about 75-80 MPH.

Called ANSA thet said they will make right on this.... How I don't know, I'm sending pics of the install. thet we will come up with something.

I think you just got the install guys on a bad day. They made up their mind that they didn’t like the kit and they probably spent more time complaining than the did reading.

I think your right! Silverline has been more than helpful to resolve any issues. They are sent me what ever I asked for to fix it. No questions asked. Mike was awesome in customer support.

I have to say the shop even used steel welding rod that is rusting already.. wondeful...
I have to get under there and wire brush the welds and hi temp prime and paint them. 304 stainless to last forever... not anymore.

Never again.. want something done right, do it yourself!
