: tts performance
600+duramax 02-12-2004, 11:37 PM A friend of mine told me he saw in a magazine a tts performance duramax make on there competetion module and a lift pump make 530 to the tire with just that one module. He also told me that the truck ran in 12 second range in the quarter.Does anyone know anyone that has tried this module with these results??Edited by: 600+duramax
DIESEL 5 02-12-2004, 11:40 PM Are you talking about TTS now???? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
Diesel Power 02-12-2004, 11:44 PM TS Performance is Dennis Perry. I would ask or PM him as he posts here. he has a thread in the get togethers forum.
600+duramax 02-12-2004, 11:49 PM No I am talking about Ts performance.I would much rather here from an independent source that has tried it.
DSTRBD 02-13-2004, 01:48 AM Dennis does not currently have his own module. He has DMAX modules, but not ones that he personally tunes.
600+duramax 02-13-2004, 02:03 AM well I do not know who's it is but they said it was theirs in the magazine and I spoke to a guy there the other day I don't remember his name but he told me that it would make 530 with just that module and he said it was 1200 bucks and it would take a couple of weeks to get it.
Diesel Power 02-13-2004, 02:32 AM That sounds like TTS. i believe it was recently featured in a magazine article. Unless you mean an advertisement, in which case i have no idea. you might want to go ask the person who told you..
600+duramax 02-13-2004, 03:32 AM diesel power you were right just got off the phone with my buddy and he told me it was tts and not ts do you know anything about this module and there claims?
CPMac 02-13-2004, 10:27 AM I know it won't make even close to 530 and they are very hard if not impossible to get for the average person. They have been talked about for quite a while but it is mostly hype because there is only a handfull of them out there, and if I heard right they massively underproduced the claimed hp that you talk about in the magazine and other claims by the manufacturer to the tune of -60 or more hp.
Diesel Tech 02-13-2004, 01:21 PM 600+
The truck in the magazine did make the advertised Hp and did run the times stated not only on one occassion but on several. CPsmac's problem is that it has been dyno tested on two ocassions by forum members and beat his beloved Quad 215 on both tests. In one test our 120 Hp version was only 8 Hp behind his beloved 215! The tests preformed by the members showed it didnot preform as we advertised and we are working with them to find out why. In any case it is still the most powerful single program on the market today. We do control who we will sell it too, as we feel it's a race only product and requires other modification on the truck to get it's full power output.
Duramaxdad 02-13-2004, 01:46 PM What magazine is it in??? I have been looking for some publication catering to the diesel guy!
White Duramax 02-13-2004, 02:35 PM It was in one of the four wheel drive magazines. I have it I'll have to look, Im pretty sure it was Four Wheeler.
blackjet 02-13-2004, 05:44 PM it was in Peterson's 4 wheel drive mag. I got a 120 pcm from steve cole a lil over a year ago at least that what they said it was. I ran it for almost a year it was alright ,I had it stacked with a hot juice. 2 years ago with stock tranny i dynoed it at Scheid's with the 120, 90 horse juice, stock tranny, it totaled up to 383 hp and 800 something torque. I had it flashed (erased to get a quad) I dynoed last year with my truck ats tranny, quad 215, and cpmac's van aaken, it was 500+ hp and 1000+tq, so you tell me which is better! hey tts boys you bring your sh*t I'll bring my sh*t and we'll getit on out on the track this year, let's do it in the dirt too. Take care. Edited by: Mackin

First off nice numbers .....
Second Quad 215 EXTREMELY kicks *** ***. bye we are trying are best not to turn each performance thread into a pissing match ....
To everyone please choose your words wisely ,thanks ....
I'm happy that you are pleased with your combo .... I too wonder when the TTS extreme will break the "single" 500 HP tuner ....
Not looking for a ringer, something close for all us knuckle heads to had ... I could live with 499 RWHP ....That would be close enough ...
Again Please ALL self moderate ............

RanaExcavating1 02-13-2004, 06:20 PM Well said Mack!
600+duramax 02-13-2004, 09:13 PM If it will make 530 by itself I will take 2 I have yet to see a single mod make that much power but then again I haven't seen much.If it is garanteed I will take 2.
Diesel Tech 02-14-2004, 12:19 AM As soon as we find out why these are not all performing the same, the dyno results will be posted by the members so you can see for yourself. From that you can make your own decision as to weather or not you want one.
Mike L. 02-14-2004, 12:30 AM blackjet
Go back and re read your post and #'s. An Edge alone will bring you close to your posted #'s alone, and a TTS program will put you right there at 380hp. Now you say you stacked to great products together and did barely achieve what each one would have given you. What's wrong with this picture? Sounds to me like maybe you let your dog tune your truck while you whipped down a few cold ones.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif I don't doubt your #'s on your second tune, they make sense.
CPMac 02-14-2004, 03:16 AM Steve if your going to talk about my "problem" then you should get it straight. My problem is your lying and misdirection advertising. If you are going to classify your extreme program with the Quad and others then you need to release them to the general public not just a couple of trucks. If your truck actually made 530 that is great but your own test truck should make big #'s. It just seems none of the programs you sell make anywhere near what you claim your truck did. The Quad is right now the best performing single program available to the public. If you want to start producing several of these and selling them to the public and can make 450+ on any truck then you would be getting close but it seems your having trouble getting the 2 or 3 you have out to do that. I have a Van Aaken program that will outperform any program you have but I don't talk about it because it isn't available to anyone else. You need to quit using the same advertising company that Banks uses and start putting that money into R and D and let your product sell itself.
Got Juice? 02-14-2004, 04:10 AM Yup, Van Aaken makes some cool gear.

blackjet 02-14-2004, 01:18 PM Hey Mike L. this one is for you the truck didn run pretty good when that stuff was together. But did you see me say stock tranny. That is why it wasn't that high. But i feel that the quad is better. but that's me. I would love to have that program back so I could dyno it, to see what it had with a tranny that would hold. But I don't now. Bring some of these trucks to the big shows and let us see them. But before I got my quad I called dennis perry and asked him to call Steve and ask him if I could get this tune he was working on. He said he would not sell it unless you had a beefed up tranny, I did have one then he stilll would not let it go. So I called Quad had a 215 the next morning. i'm not doogging their product cause it did run good, but let's see some trucks this year with this product out and about.
Morse 02-14-2004, 02:07 PM I'm sure the tracks are closed up north, though I would love to see some more track numbers with the tts extreme program before I choose between the present big two.. Who has the good deals on the tts?? Any price info.. I lowered my truck back down, and I have the tranny.... I guess I could be a guinnee pig and quit asking the questions.. I just don't want to spend the money and buy the "slower" product..
sdaver 02-14-2004, 04:09 PM I made more with the first version of the extreme than I did with the quad with no rattle or pilot injection noise..........453 vs 441 with the quad. There were some fuel issues that have been resolved. My dealings w/ Steve have been a very good experience.
Mike L. 02-14-2004, 09:44 PM #'s on a dyno mean squat. Tell me your monster #'s on the dyno with a bad injector and then run the quarter mile. 500 + horsepower on a dyno with a bad injector will put down some fast times. RUN IT and show what you got. There are so many variables and programs for the dyno that i no longer believe them. I only believe quarter mile times.
mtomac, xxxxxxxxxxx , at least puts down the times. As far as the rest of the horsepower freaks, run it and then talk smack. i really hated to say something good about tomac.

So I guess the N CA Dyno meet is canceled ?? If the ECM Extreme puts in a good showing above "other" tuners will the hooting and hollering and chest beating be "Dyno numbers mean squat ,see you at the track "??

Diesel Power 02-15-2004, 12:52 AM while we do see a variety of results from dyno's, its just a tool like anything else. same truck, same day, same dyno- while the #'s themselves may not be set in stone i believe the difference, as far as which ones comes out higher, will be. that being said there seems to be some variation in trucks with respect to which tuner runs best. I will be rolling everything i can given time constraints friday. i'd like to roll the 215 again but it depends on if it arrives back from quad before i leave for LA on thursday afternoon. i'd even roll a big va box if i had one as i'm always curious but it isn't in my arsenal.

I run a tow program (80hp). I love it. I will bring my truck around slow, always did that with my hotrods. I will not make statements like 500 hp with a bad injector and a 13.3 time. I doubt if you will go any faster with your almost 600hp. I'm sure you have tried and will not tell us how it worked.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif Remember, i did not say my truck was fast, i said i would have the Extreme program. You are the one that said your truck is fast with your b/s signature. Don't you think it's time to change it to 600hp? Love to see the time slip.

There is always my dyno day CPMac; bring your truck, make a wager(i say you don't come within 100hp of your calims and i will back it with money). It could be worth your while, or you could lose big.

Mike it's fine if you doubt my extra hp will go faster but you really shouldn't call me a liar about trying higher hp setup at the track because I haven't since the tracks are closed. Also your the only one that said my truck was fast (thanks) because all I ever said was what time it run (in front of several at a DHRA event). My truck had a little accident and now only has 3 wheels (missing the left front) but if you really want to put some money up (at least $5k) then I will be happy to take that wager and I would even sweeten it up for you by making the wager based on the 592 number or higher not just within 100 of it. Now put up or shut up.

dmaxalliTech 02-16-2004, 03:41 PM Dyno no's dont mean chit to most of us. It does nothing but give bragging rights. You wanna talk big, put some time slips up. I dont care if you make 800 hp, yeah, you did it. But when your 800 hp only runs 13's, so what? Put what ever you want on the street. What sells, the numbers or the quality of the product? Since braggin rights wont get me anywhere, I choose the feel of the product, I went for a ride with sdaver with his scaled back extreme program and it was the smoothest program I have ever seen, no smoke, no noise, nothing. Just the smoothest transition of power I have ever seen. Yes, others make big power, but you gain some noise, smoke, or other sometimes unwanted side effect. I always thought that Edge made a killer product till I seen what the TTS would do. Not trying to sell anybodies products, just relaying my observations. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif
