So, I hit on this once in another post, but does anyone know if the 05' 6 disk bose system can have added the remote cassette player that was available in some older models?

Do you mean like on of these (see pic)? Or the in-the-trunk looking style? I'm installing the in-the-dash style now, well until I hit a snag... No C2 radio connector in my truck. Hopefully someone can hook me up with one. Yes the in-dash syle work and I believe I read somewhere you could use the remote 6 disc (magazine) style also. Someone will chime in on this I'm sure.

Disreguard what I just said... I mistook remote CD player for Cassette player in your wording, my bad.

most likely not... those 2002 tape player slaves used the E&C data bus for communication...all 2003's and up are Class II only.
